Representation of Characters

Because the main characters in my film are both men, there are many different ways they could be represented in the eyes of the audience.

I have tried to give my audience the impression that the characters in the film are very masculine. This means that I have given them moustaches and stubble. This is the usual stereotype that someone is very masculine. I have also had the actors wear denim which is again associated with masculinity. I have tried to give the audience the impression that the characters are very rough and ready. I think I have achieved this by having the characters walk very confident and relaxed, as though they have total control of the situation. This also brings out the general toughness in the characters and gives the audience the impression that they are very brave.
